The PDESN President speaks about Senegal’s economic future

In front of several thousand activists gathered in Dakar, Abdou Samath SAKHO presented the party’s main economic priorities for the years ahead.
The PDESN President began with an observation: despite its natural resources and its dynamic youth, Senegal still imports a large share of what it consumes. For the party, this dependence weakens households and limits job creation.
He then set out three priorities: processing raw materials locally, easier access to credit for SMEs and craftspeople, and public procurement that favours Senegalese companies.
Our sovereignty is built first in our fields, our workshops and our businesses.
The speech ended with a call to mobilise local cells, which are invited to organise citizen meetings in the coming weeks to enrich the programme.
